Hope Island State Park (Skagit County, Washington)
Hope Island State Park (Skagit) in Skagit County, Washington is a marine camping park in the Washington State Parks.[1] It consists of 200 acres (81 ha) of beaches and forest with occasional meadows and rock outcroppings on an island in Skagit Bay. There is a trail across the island.[2]
There is a picnic area on the North end of the island, with buoys for mooring larger boats. A number of herons nest on the Southwestern end of the island. Camping is very primitive, and there are significant cliffs surrounding most of the island, making getting inland a challenge.
